PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) treatment for the face is a regenerative skin procedure that uses a person’s own blood to improve skin health. A small amount of blood is drawn and processed to separate platelets and fibrin, which are rich in growth factors. This PRF is then applied to the skin using microneedling or small injections. The treatment helps stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, enhance glow, reduce fine lines, acne scars, and under-eye dark circles. Because PRF contains no added chemicals, it is considered more natural than PRP. Results develop gradually over a few weeks as the skin repairs itself. PRF is generally safe, with temporary redness or swelling as common side effects. For teenagers, PRF is usually recommended only for specific medical or scarring concerns under a dermatologist’s guidance.
